Our Story:
Building Hope for Children with Disabilities
Total Rehab Centre is a registered Charitable Children’s Institution, operating as a Community-Based Organization under Kenya’s Ministry of Gender and Social Services since October 2009. We are located in Nairobi and provide a residential home for 58 children living with physical, cognitive, social, or developmental disabilities, including cerebral palsy and sensory impairments. Our mission is rooted in the belief that every child, regardless of their abilities, deserves love, respect, and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Our approach is deeply holistic—we do more than offer shelter. We offer support systems designed to nurture the emotional, educational, physical, and psychological growth of every child under our care. Referrals come from hospitals, community health workers, children’s departments, and local stakeholders, highlighting the trust placed in our services by medical and community professionals alike.
What sets us apart is our commitment to specialized care. We provide targeted therapies and interventions including occupational therapy, emotional support, and educational services. We work hand-in-hand with caregivers, therapists, and community members to ensure that children not only survive but thrive.
We also emphasize community outreach, spreading awareness, and helping families understand how to provide ongoing care and support for children with special needs. Our team advocates tirelessly for inclusive development and policy changes that empower children with disabilities across Kenya.
At Total Rehab Centre, we are more than just a care facility—we are a family. Our goal is to empower these children to live fulfilling lives and to create a society that recognizes and celebrates their potential. Through compassion, dedication, and resilience, we strive to transform lives—one child at a time.
To empower children with disabilities through tailored rehabilitation, education, and advocacy, helping them achieve independence and societal integration.
A Kenya where no child is left behind due to disability.
